At Down To Earth Landscaping & Design, we think a well-kept property says something before anyone says hello. We’re a Powell-based landscaping and design company serving homeowners, HOAs and businesses across Delaware County and Northwest Columbus — designing, building and maintaining outdoor spaces that hold up to real Ohio seasons.
Down To Earth is a family company, and it started the way most good landscaping companies do — with an owner who’d rather do the work right than do more of it. Frank Wilcox founded the company in Powell on that standard, and his son Luke grew up working in it — on the crews, on the estimates, on the phone. Frank has since retired, and Luke runs the company today the same way his dad did: he still runs the crews, still walks the estimates, and still answers the phone. That’s deliberate. It means the person who promised you a straight bed line is the same person who checks it before the trailer leaves. The company has grown from mowing into full landscape design, hardscape installation, water features and winter snow service, but the second generation runs it on the first one’s rule: small enough to know your property, equipped enough to build something permanent on it.
